We ignite creative exploration and artistic self-expression.
Our Mission + Vision
Through collaborative efforts with other community organizations and programs, BosKidz provides a professional team to ensure the quality and completeness of the production; lead by a creative team; help oversee all the elements of pre-production, production, and post-production.
Right up to the release of the play; we teach and rehearse background vocalists and recruit and schedule volunteers as needed. This is to ensure that participating youth and children have a quality experience.
Core Values
Our Story
In 1992 a group of young people ages 12-16 in a local religious organization dared to step out to bring hope to their peers through music! It was then Bonita Marie was tasked and challenged with becoming the guardian, surrogate mother, confidant, and mentor as their choir director. She reluctantly, yet humbly accepted the task and the rest as some say, became history is a part of a legacy!
Under the mentorship and guidance of the legendary Linda DeCuir, who at the time was the gospel choir director at Pasadena High School, the organization Pasadena Youth Community Gospel Choir was established and increased in numbers, making an immediate impact in their community and abroad. Through passionate leadership of these devoted women, hundreds of young people used this “choir” platform to discover their true gifting in other areas of performing arts. If performing art was not their “thing,” it helped them develop confidence and character.
Our Legacy
BosKidz officially became an entity of The Bo & Arrow Group in 2019. Through this platform, we continue to develop and enrich the lives of children and youth by developing their creative thinking, self-esteem, and internal leadership through fun-filled theater art activities and projects.
We attempt to grasp a Kidz desire to pursue a career in theater arts or provide them an opportunity to build a foundation using the principles and discipline of acting, music, and dance.
In Collaborations
What People Are Saying
The Bo & Arrow Group has proven to be a powerful group of motivators and coaches in the area of arts and entertainment. They have consistently set the bar high, and expected greatness from every student that they’ve come across. This high expectation impacts the culture of every project we’ve had the pleasure to collaborate on. I only expect big visions from the Bo & Arrow Group, and I only expect those visions to be brought to reality. The Bo & Arrow Group prepares students to prosper in and outside of the entertainment industry. These pillars of hard work and dedication are valuable and applicable in every area of life. I’m grateful to the Bo & Arrow Group for the work they’ve already done, and the work that they will continue to do. Peace & Blessing.
